PME funding ratio increased
Our funding ratio increased slightly in the second quarter of 2023. The funding ratio indicates whether we have enough funds to pay all pensions. Now and in the future.
Your annual pension statement
Every year, we send you a so-called uniform pension statement (UPS). It shows the status of your pension on 31 December of the previous year. And how much your partner will get if you die. You may have already received the statement. If not, you will get it by 1 October at the latest.
The Netherlands has new rules for pensions
As of 1 July, the Netherlands has new pension rules. They fit better with how we live and work now. PME is expected to switch to the new system on 1 January 2026. So nothing will change for your pension with us right now. As soon as it is clear what the new rules mean for you, you will hear from us. Curious to find out what we do already know? Notification from PME in your Berichtenbox
Do you know the Berichtenbox? That is your personal digital mailbox for mail from Dutch government authorities. Such as letters from the Tax Authorities and the municipality. PME has now joined this service. Would you like to be notified via the Berichtenbox when important pension mail is available for you on our website? Go to www.mijnoverheid.nl, log in with your DigiD and tick the box for PME Pensioenfonds. Did you already tick the box for PME previously? Then the box is still ticked.
Lump sum payment postponed again
Are you about to retire? And are you thinking about having part of your pension paid as a lump sum when you take retirement? Then it is good to know that this option has been postponed again. According to the minister, it will not be possible to withdraw a lump sum until 1 July 2024 at the earliest, on condition that legislation is completed on time. As soon as we have a definitive date, you will read it on our website.
