PME is likely to switch to the new pension rules on 1 January 2027. From that date onward, a new pension scheme will apply. Want to find out what this means for you personally? We will set this out for you in a provisional calculation, which you may even have already received. If not, you will receive your calculation no later than the end of November. If you want to know where you can find the most important information, we explain this in a short video.
Your pension will not change immediately following the switch to the new rules. In January and February 2027, you will receive the same pension you currently receive. You will receive your new pension for the first time in March 2027. We will inform you of the amount in advance. If your new pension turns out higher than your current pension, you will receive a back payment covering January and February 2027 with the payment at the end of March.
Do you have any questions about the provisional calculation you have received? Or do you just want to know more about your pension under the new rules? Come to one of the meetings we are organising throughout the country. No complicated stories – just clear information and perhaps an enjoyable reunion with your former colleagues. Also, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Please note: these meetings will be held in Dutch.
If you can’t come to any of the meetings, you should know that we will be organising a webinar on 16 December. We will discuss the new pension rules in the webinar as well. We will tell you how we will switch and what this means for your pension at PME. This webinar will be held in Dutch. A recording with English subtitles will be published on the website in the new year.
Have you already seen the special edition about the switch? In it, we discuss a number of important topics for you, including:
Our coverage ratio increased in the third quarter of 2026. The coverage ratio indicates whether we have enough cash to pay every pension, now and in the future. The coverage ratio is also important when switching to the new rules, because it determines whether we can distribute something extra at that time and how much.
