Webinar on compensation and partner’s pension: sign up now

PME wants to switch to the new pension rules on 1 January 2027. To find out what this means for you personally, you will have to wait until the autumn. However, one thing you need to pay attention to right now is compensation. You can hear all about it in a live webinar on Monday, 11 May at 19:30. We will also address the partner’s pension in the new scheme, and what you need to take into account if you are retiring soon. Will you be there too?

Please note: this webinar will be held in Dutch. A version with English subtitles will be made available on our website a few weeks after the broadcast.

Lump sum: deferral until 2029

If you are close to retirement and you are considering withdrawing part of your pension at the start, it is good to know that the cabinet has once again decided to postpone this new option. The postponement will allow you to make use of this option from 1 January 2029 at the earliest. We will keep you informed via our website.

Transferring pension: this is what you need to know

Have you accrued pension via another employer? It is possible to transfer this pension to PME. This is called pension value transfer. This option will still be available after the switch to the new rules. But in the meantime, the process may temporarily take longer than usual.

See your other pensions in the pension planner

The pension planner shows you which choices you can make and what they mean for your pension at PME. But you may also have a pension with other pension funds. You can now add this to the pension planner. This will give you a better picture of your future income.

Coverage ratio decreased, still financially healthy

Our coverage ratio decreased in the first quarter of 2026. The coverage ratio indicates whether we have enough cash to pay every pension, now and in the future. The coverage ratio is also important when switching to the new rules, because it determines whether we can give something extra at that time and if so, how much. In spite of the lower coverage ratio, we are still in a good financial position.
