PME is likely to switch to the new pension rules on 1 January 2027. From that date onward, a new pension scheme will apply. Want to find out what this means for you personally? We will set this out for you in a provisional calculation, which you may even have already received. If not, you will receive your calculation no later than the end of November. If you want to know where you can find the most important information, we explain this in a short video.
If you left your employment less than a year ago, and if you do not accrue a pension with a new employer, you can choose to continue accruing a pension with us – subject to conditions – partially or entirely at your own expense. If you submit your application to us before 1 March 2027, you may be eligible for compensation when PME switches to the new pension rules. In that case, you will receive a one-off extra amount in your pension pot.
Do you have any questions about compensation or the provisional calculation you have received? Or do you just want to know more about your pension under the new rules? Come to one of the meetings we are organising throughout the country. No complicated stories – just clear information and tips that really help. Also, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Please note: these meetings will be held in Dutch.
If you can’t come to any of the meetings, you should know that we will be organising a webinar on 16 December. In it, we will update you on the new pension rules. We will tell you how we will switch and what this means for your pension at PME. This webinar will be held in Dutch. A recording with English subtitles will be published on the website in the new year.
You can have your pension come into payment at any time. Please note, however, that the online pension planner will not be available in the second half of December 2026 or in January 2027. Good to know: we will remain available to assist you during this period. As soon as you are able to make calculations again, there will be a notice on our website.
Have you already seen the special edition about the switch? In it, we discuss a number of important topics for you, including:
Our coverage ratio increased in the third quarter of 2026. The coverage ratio indicates whether we have enough cash to pay every pension, now and in the future. The coverage ratio is also important when switching to the new rules, because it determines whether we can distribute something extra at that time and how much.
