PME wants to switch to the new pension rules on 1 January 2027. This switch is expected to be beneficial for most people. But for some employees, there is also a disadvantage. This is why, at the time of the switch, they will receive an extra one-off amount in their pension pot (also known as compensation). This will enable us to maintain their expected pension as much as possible as well. This is subject to the condition that you accrue a pension with PME on 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027. Do you plan to change jobs or retire before we make the switch? Are you considering working less? Or do you expect another major change in your work or life? Visit the website to see what your options are.
Sooner or later, many people will have to deal with informal care: the care for parents or loved ones who can't do everything themselves. This is often rewarding work. But how do you combine it with your job and a busy life? Work fewer hours? This may be at the expense of your pension. Fortunately, there are other possibilities. You can read more about it on the website Mantelzorg in de Metalektro, an initiative of employers and employees in our sector.
Our funding ratio increased in the third quarter of 2025. The coverage ratio indicates whether we have enough cash to pay every pension, now and in the future.
